| Mike shoots portraiture, documentary and location/architectural imagery for editorial and commercial clients from his base in New York City. His book Blended Nation has been featured on NBC's Today Show, NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday, the Tavis Smiley Radio Show and in over one hundred newspapers nationwide. Blended Nation also was awarded 1st place in the 2009 International Photography Awards in the books (people) category. His career in photography was inspired by the study of anthropology and environmental science in college and in Tanzania and was reinforced by his travels throughout Africa, Asia, Australia and the SouthPacific after graduation. Though largely self-taught, he honed his craft at the International Center of Photography in New York City. |
